A BALANCE BETWEEN GOD'S WORD AND HUMAN OPINION

Over the years, there seem to be a serious doctrinal imbalance between God's own view and man's idea/opinion as it regards frivolous issues ranging from:- (1) Should a lady put on men's attire? (2) Praying with your hair covered/uncovered? (3) And much more.

Meanwhile, I need you to understand that amongst all frivolities argued by men, God's eternal purposes are still clear and he never left man in the dark nor in perpetual confusion.

That said, the following scriptures will be pointing out some critical differences between God's word/command and man's idea/opinion, which could also serve as a template for judging many other frivolous matters.

i) Apostle Paul's idea/opinion as a man: {KJV Romans 3
5 But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)!

ii) An interplay of God's command and Paul's idea/opinion: {KJV 1 Corinthians 7
6 But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.
7 For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.
8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I.
9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn. (Take Note: Verse 6, 7, 8, 9 bespeaks Paul's idea/opinion as a man)!
10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:
11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife. (Take Note: Verse 10, 11 bespeaks God's command)!
12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.
13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him. (Take Note: Verse 12, 13 bespeaks Paul's idea/opinion as a man)!

iii) Moses's view as a man: { KJV Deuteronomy 22
5 The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God. (But hold on, neither trouser nor skirt was mentioned as an attire for men or women respectively. The simple truth is; In ancient times, both men and women wore gown as a garment for the body. So why argue and try to allocate trousers to men, and skirts to women in our day and time? Is it to prove spirituality?...I guarantee you, that's mere religion. It is never God's opinion)!

Meanwhile, let's ride on;

9 Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds: lest the fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of thy vineyard, be defiled.
10 Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together.
11 Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woollen and linen together. (Brothers and Sisters please help me, are we not practising verse 9, 10, 11 even till this day?...Do you not plant maize seed, groundnut seed, etc on the same farmland/vineyard?...If we were to be sincere with ourselves, are your clothes not woven with different fabrics?...Why then shy away from verse 9, 10, 11 and only focus on verse 5 in an attempt to argue and condemn ladies putting on trousers?...I tell you, let's not deceive ourselves, that is hypocrisy and dead religion. It is never God's idea)!

Amazingly, God in his infinite wisdom still has a way to accommodate man's opinion without having his eternal purposes or plans corrupted. I personally believe that's one reason why some of this frivolous issues were still given room to find expression in scriptures.




P.S. The same applies to every other frivolities such as covering/uncovering your hair while praying, and so on.
